Terms and Conditions

Eastern Rentals Ltd is privately owned and operated. We endeavour to provide you with an efficient, friendly, personal service and a safe, clean, quality rental vehicle.

Each day is based on a 24 hour period. Extensions of hire may be made by telephone. Each hour beyond a completed day is charged at 1/5 the daily rate, after 5 hours a full day applies.

Driver Qualifications

All drivers must be over 21 years of age and hold a current full NZ or recognised overseas licence which must be shown at commencement of hire.

Standard Insurance

An Insurance Excess of $1500 applies to all hires. This must be covered by credit card or other acceptable method. All accidents, damages or losses will be deductible from the above excess, including tyre and windscreen damage. The above insurance excess excludes our Luxury Cars - see Luxury Car section for Insurance Excess details.

Premium Protection Insurance

This reduces the excess to $250 which includes cover for damage to windscreen and tyres. The minimum driver's age for premium protection is 25 years. The above insurance excess excludes our Luxury Cars - see Luxury Car section for Insurance Excess details.

Fuel

The vehicle is refilled at the hire's expense.

Payment

We accept all major Credit Cards. For customers who do not wish to use a Credit Card, another acceptable method of covering the insurance excess is required.

All rentals are subject to the terms and conditions of our Rental Agreement.
